What’s on in Bristol – March

Winter is over, Spring is here. March waves goodbye to icy February and sees the countryside burst into colour.

Bristol has a month of events to suit the season, and welcomes a smile back to the city. Here’s our guide to some of the great events Bristol has to offer.

 

March 1-April 10: Wildlife Photographer of the Year, M Shed.

Catch the tail-end of this 4 month run of stunning natural-world photography in conjunction with the Natural history Museum, London.

 

March 7-12: Hairspray The Musical, Bristol Hippodrome Theatre.

A brand new version of the massive musical-comedy production.

 

March 10-12: Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival, Colston Hall.

A whole weekend of amazing international performers catering for a range of budgets.

 

March 13: Early Spring Curator’s Tour, University of Bristol Botanic Gardens.

Celebrate the start of spring with an inspiring, two hour special tour of the University of Bristol’s botanic garden with Curator, Nicholas Wray.

 

March 18-20: Bristol Beer Festival 2016, Brunel’s Old Station, Bristol Temple Meads.

Sample a whole array of traditional English ales and Ciders in a historic setting, in association with the campaign for real ale.

 

March 25-28: Easter Hot Air Balloon Rides, Ashton Court.

Early Spring time is fantastic chance for a balloon ride with settled weather and great visibility.
