What’s on in Bristol – November

The clocks may have gone back, but the dark evenings are now being lit up by fireworks to celebrate bonfire night. As well as taking your pick from the many firework displays around Bristol, here are just a handful of the events taking place in the city during November.
November 4 & 11: National Theatre Live – Hamlet, Cinemas (various locations)
Showing at several cinemas around Bristol, see special encore screenings of Benedict Cumberbatch’s glorious performance as the prince of Denmark.
November 5-December 16: Planetarium Nights, At Bristol
Discover the universe with this weekly stargazing event in the UK’s first ever digital 3D Planetarium. Tickets: from £7.
November 7: 24-hour Bad Movie Marathon, Benjamin Perry Boathouse
No sleeping. No breaks. No films rated over 40% on Rotten Tomatoes. All in aid of Children in Need.
November 12-14: Festival of Economics, At-Bristol
A series of events promoting wider learning and debate about economics as part of Bristol Festival of Ideas.
November 15: Judy’s Vintage Kilo Fair, Paintworks
Load up on vintage and retro fashion with a flat fee of £15 per kg for all your treasured finds. Entrance: £3.
November 15: The Fratellis, O2 Academy
The Glaswegian trio are back with a new album.
November 19: Urbanimals, various venues
It’s the last night of the Playable City project that has seen interactive animals dotted around Bristol. Catch them whilst you can.
November 26: Thanksgiving Dinner, Goldbrick House
Enjoy a festive feast with the best Thanksgiving dishes. Tickets: £25.
November 28: North Street Winter Fair, Bedminster. 10am-5pm
Christmas carols, mulled wine, gifts, food and shopping. Join in the best dressed elf competition!
